Black Magic, Freedom, Cherry Love, Forever Young
AND...
Sexy Red!

Manitou...Huge and deep saturated Dark Pink
Cherry Brandy...Warm sunshiney orange yellow inside, red-pink outside
Faith...Old Fashioned dusty Pink and Cream.
All our choices are Top Quality and have proven themselves to be long lasting.
We stuck with our reliable favorites so we minimize any unpleasant surprises.
No one wants an unpleasant surprise on THE DAY!
Porcelain Pears
Lightable Bulbs
The ReZUZable Bag
When we first heard all the rumbling about plastic bags
and the Park Slope Food Coop banning them,we started
thinking about our consumption of them.
Granted, we re-use them for cleaning up after Bear,
but he doesn't produce enough waste to keep up with our supply.
Shopping with our conservation minded friends convinced us
to start accumulating re-usable bags and...re-using them.
It didn't take long to figure out we needed to design one
for the shop and it only took 3 of us to come up with the
RE -ZUZ -ABLE bag.
Above is a picture of the sample bag which we have approved.
We are hoping to have these in hand for Earth Day
April 22....a great celebration is planned.
alll zuzufans will be invited.

15 Days till Valentine's Day
With the economy sucking Big Time and most everyone
trying to be careful with the bucks...the florist in me
is working full time designing warm and fuzzy ways
to say 'I Love You" that
won't break the bank.
If you're one of those who thinks
Valentine's Day comes with its own mandate...
a dozen red roses or else...hold on...
this year, a recession dozen is 6!
and they don't
even have to be red,
just good quality, fresh and beautifully presented.
Call Big Zu , tell us your budget and we'll get on it.

Now, doesn't that ease your mind?

Valentine's Day and The Recession

I've been thinking about Valentine's Day.
It's my job.
This year, more than ever, it looms large.
To be honest, I'm stressed...
And definitely hyper-focused.
I have lists dating back to the 90's.
Records of what flowers I bought,
what was sold, what was left.
what we could have used more of,
what we should have had less of.
This year, the lousy economy casts a long shadow.
There is also the fact that The Day falls on Saturday
and the following Monday is President's Day...
A 4 Day Weekend!
Question:
Will people go away?
Or will people opt to be home and "staycation"?
Answer:
I will know on February 15th.
I'm thinking six Roses and some filler fluff is the Recession Dozen.
More ideas to come.
